Complex Simplicity

Corporations and SMB`s often employ a single mindset and approach when considering corporate solutions, security, or security associated with individual tasks. The misconception that IT governance using ITIL, COBIT or another systematic guidelines is sufficient to protect data and assets, and the reassurance of having a modern firewall is similar to being able to trust a bodyguard with a blackbelt. Does one element support the existence of the other? Is a Blackbelt a qualification for a BodyGuard?
Traditional security methods that overlook the question “who watches the watchmen?” Don’t provide a wholistic security approach. True security, by nature, should be simple to deploy and effective. In our values, I think it’s important to realize that being happy with the status quo can lead to potential failure, not to judge right or wrong .. Dealing with the lack of preparation and proper tools will not lead to good results. Given the bodyguard example, could a person with dysfunctional communication equipment and a lack of a combative skillset be able to prove good results in protecting an important person, or is the solution easier than we imagine? complex simplicity is understanding that a paradigm is complex in nature not complicated to understand.
